In the month of September, YPI presented no less than 12 client yachts in the Cannes and Monaco Yacht Shows – the two events that kick off the new yachting season around the world.
“These shows are important for clients because they provide an opportunity to present their yachts to a captive audience of potential buyers from around the world,” explains YPI Head of Marketing & Communications, Mark Duncan. “More than 30,000 people visited the Monaco Yacht Show this year to see around 100 yachts at an average size of 45-metres. That’s a superb shop window in which to spotlight any superyacht.”
“This year’s Monaco Yacht Show was a hive of activity,” says Bertrand Vogèle, YPI Group CEO. “There were some excellent quality visitors in attendance and some very attractively priced yachts. We had three yachts in the Show with four at anchor. We brought clients from all over the world including our Chinese offices and I’m pleased to announce that some of our clients did actually make serious offers on some yachts in Show. We also signed some new yachts to our charter fleets including the beautiful RAINBOW. A very productive event overall – we now wait to see how much of all that hard work really pays off for our clients.”
Another great way to profile a yacht for sale (or charter) for clients, especially sailing yachts, is to be a part of any one of the growing number of quality regattas around the world.
Les Voiles de St Tropez is one such regatta, and this year YPI was pleased to have RAINBOW and ANNAGINE present and available for clients not only to watch the regatta but for the purposes of sail trials.
The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (25 – 29 October 2012), the largest yacht and tender show in the world, is the next show YPI will be attending followed soon after by the excellent Antigua Charter Show(2 – 8 December 2012) where YPI Charter has some yachts already confirmed to attend.
“The Antigua Show is by far one of the best opportunities to present our new charter yachts to all the major charter brokers in the world,” says Head of YPI Charter,Fiona Maureso. “It is also where my retail charter team get to see and test out yachts they would like to recommend to clients in the year ahead.”
