With an increasing number of enquiries coming from first time charterers, regular charter clients now looking for new destinations and an increased selection of yachts, YPI this year decided to hook up with the industry’s leading media group, Boat International, to produce the 210 page YPI Essential Guide to Charter 2014.
Packed with new and off-the beaten-track charter itineraries, in-depth destination features, the yearly charter calendar and spotlights on a comprehensive selection of over 100 of the world’s most stunning charter yachts, the new YPI ESSENTIAL GUIDE TO CHARTER 2014 is now available.
“We started producing charter brochures for clients back in the mid- 1980s,” says YPI Group Commercial Director, Mark Duncan. “But it’s been a while since we have dedicated an entire publication to the world of charter.
“Over the last year or so we’ve noticed an increased interest in some of the newer charter destinations from clients who have either never chartered before or who haven’t chartered for some time. That’s great news for everyone. So we thought it was about time we put together a comprehensive, fun and informative guide to really whet the appetite for more.”
“Chartering is about having an experience you’ll never forget.”
Featuring over 100 yachts, the book includes some of the most successful charter yachts in the world from 18m and up including the 75m LEANDER, the 73m NAIA (ex: Pegaso) and the award-winning 72m AXIOMA, as well as sailing yacht giants such as METEOR and ELEONORA.
“Believe me…if you haven’t chartered before…you really are missing out.”
“Chartering is about having an experience you’ll never forget and one that’s shared exclusively with the people you want to be with,” says Vaniese Baldacchino, YPI Head of Charter. “It’s not about the yacht you book, or the amazing places you visit or the diving or the jet-skiing or the nights spent dining onboard with friends and family under a setting sun, the fresh sea air in your hair…it’s about all of those things. And we’re keen to show those who have never chartered before, just how much they’re missing. Because believe me…if you haven’t chartered before…you really are missing out.”
THE YPI ESSENTIAL GUIDE TO CHARTER 2014 is now available from YPI.

30M ‘GATSBY’ JOINS THE YPI CHARTER FLEET
GATSBY Launching June 2014 for her first ever charter season
Built by the Italian family shipyard Filippetti, GATSBY is the second model in their heralded Navetta 30 green line designed for maximum environmental efficiency with displacement hull, soft rounded lines, reduced emissions and consumption together with impressive fuel and water autonomy.
Designed with privacy, comfort and space firmly in mind, GATSBY offers a unique 6 cabin layout with the entire upper deck completely private from the rest, the Owner’s VIP cabin located forward on a raised level giving stunning sea views.
“It’s not that well known but many yachts in the charter market allow guests only restricted views,” says YPI Head of Charter, Vaniese Baldacchino, “GATSBY offers the most amazing panoramic views throughout.”
Accommodating up to 12 guests in 4 Double and 2 Twin cabins, GATSBY’s light and fresh interior offers plenty of areas for entertaining, sunbathing and dining.
“She has a superb swim platform with easy access to the water,” says her YPI Charter Manager, Linda Ehrenstrahle, “and a great selection of water sports equipment perfect for those holidaying with family and friends. Her Captain, Nick Bull, is also an amazing asset for charter guests on GATSBY. A captain of some renown, he knows more secret bays and coves and diving areas in the Mediterranean than most and he is always keen to share that with charter guests.”
GATSBY launches in June 2014 in Montenegro and is now booking for charters in the East Mediterranean from EUR 80,000 p/w.
