MARIPOSA 3a has a classic design in a style reminiscent of the great racing yachts of the 1920's and 1930's. With her beautiful lines, classic sheer and deck house profile, married to a modern hull shape and highly developed keel design, the result is an extremely fast and supremely seaworthy vessel, capable of world-wide cruising in any weather.

A Dubois design, Dutch workmanship and a blonde teak interior with sculpted detailing and exquisitely designed curves throughout, ensure that MARIPOSA 3a stands out in both style and quality.

There is accommodation for 6 guests in 3 cabins, and for up to 4 crew in 2 cabins forward. The owner's stateroom has a large queen size bed, shower room, bidet and vanity, desk, spacious hanging lockers, good stowage and all was completely refurbished in 2007. The two guest cabins both have en suite shower and head facilities, built to the same high standard.

Marten Marine of New Zealand produced the Spar package. All is in carbon fibre with an in-boom "leisure furl" reefing system and spinnaker pole stowage on the mast.
The Riggana steel rod standing rigging and the vectran running rigging were new in 2007. The sails are by Doyle Superyacht. The staysail, yankee genoa and mainsail were new in 2008.
