St Lucia – Martinique (40 nm/3.5hrs)

Depart for Martinique, an overseas region of France which offers a marriage of Gallic and Caribbean culture. It is and island of impressive natural beauty, volcanic in origin, the island is crowned by the still-smoldering Mont Pelée, which wiped out Martinique’s former capital of St Pierre to the North West of the island in 1902. Long pristine beaches and diving are the main attractions in the south. Fishing villages dot the coasts; most of them have managed to hang on their seafaring soul while offering plenty for visitors to see and do.

Martinique – The Isles Saintes, Guadeloupe (90 nm/8hrs night passage)

Just 6 nm south of Guadeloupe, the Isles Saintes are eight idyllic and quiet little islands, where you can expect to find superb beaches, gorgeous bays, exceptional snorkeling and fascinating historical sites. Only two of the islands are inhabited and picturesque Terre-de-Haut is the most visited of these, it is a tiny romantic island with a charming village of tiny brightly-painted houses, excellent restaurants, interesting shops and unique art galleries.

Guadeloupe – Antigua (70nm/6hrs)

Early start for Antigua, stopping on the way for lunch and watersports in one of Guadeloupe’s lush bays.

Arrive in English Harbour in time for sundowners. Once you have settled in, you can take some time to explore the historical Nelson’s Dockyard and experience the unique atmosphere of this traditional centre for seafarers and yachtsmen since colonial times. Antigua boasts 365 beaches, one for every day of the year, so escaping to a quiet anchorage close by for some watersports is always quite easy.

Option 1 - heading N.E of Antigua:

Antigua - Barbuda (50 nm/4hrs)

Cross over to Barbuda, Antigua’s sister island this morning. This very low key island is more similar to Anguilla than Antigua in terms of geography, with beautiful beaches and sandy shallows, but with much less influence from luxury tourism. Snorkeling is again excellent, and there is an interesting Frigate bird sanctuary on the island.

Option 2 – heading N.W of Antigua:

St. Kitts & Nevis 40 nm/3hrs

Sail west towards the lesser-visited islands of St. Kitts and Nevis, arriving first in Nevis, the smaller of the two. A very green and hilly island, Nevis has little development apart from the recently developed Four Seasons resort. Nevis still has a very traditional Caribbean laid-back charm.

Later in the day continue on to the larger St. Kitts, and take a tour of the island to visit the old plantation houses, and the British fort at Brimstone Hill, one of the most impressive sites in the Caribbean.

St. Barths (28 nm/2.5hrs)

Continue towards St. Barths today, the most glamourous of the Caribbean islands, St. Barth’s is the St. Tropez of the tropics, and a little bit of France in the sun. At this time of year, you will find a lot of the world’s rich and famous holidaying there, and the little port of Gustavia can be very full of superyachts. Famous for its high-end shopping and dining, there are also more out of the way places around the island, such as Anse Gouverneur in the south, a great place for watersports and with good snorkeling along the cliffs.

St. Barths – Anguilla (35 nm/2.8hrs)

Sail north to Anguilla and its pristine beaches, some of the most beautiful in the Caribbean. On this island famous for high-end luxury, there are some of the best restaurants in the islands.
