DAY 1: BEGIN YOUR YACHT CHARTER IN THE CYCLADES ISLAND OF KEA
Kea is your first taste of the Aegean Islands. It is an exceptionally picturesque island, which lies close to the Cape of Sounion, to the South of Athens. It is a hilly island with small valleys, which run right down to the sea, opening out into pretty little bays in which you can anchor. There is a wonderful beach here with an excellent fish tavern, where you can enjoy a swim and then go directly to the tavern for fresh fish, Greek salad and fried kalamari. You will not even have to change, wear your swimsuit and leave the sea salt on you!
DAY 2: ANDROS
Andros is the most northern of the Cyclades Islands; it is sun bleached and fertile with citrus and olive trees, pine forests, mulberry woods and mineral springs - whose sparkling water equals that of Perrier and Badoit of France! Here you will find beautiful beaches, museums, Byzantine Architecture and colourful local festivities.
DAY 3: MYKONOS
Mykonos is a striking island, claimed to be the prettiest and the most cosmopolitan of all the Cycladic island group. Whitewashed houses and windmills overlook the town and port. There is a real maze of hundreds of narrow streets where one can easily wander and find stores selling folk art items, clothing, fine jewelry etc... In the evening, make your way to "Little Venice", right on the water’s edge where you can sip a drink while you watch the sun go down, before heading back into the labyrinthine streets to experience the lively night life.
DAY 4: NAXOS
Meadows give way to endless stretches of sandy beach, sheer cliffs plunge precipitously into the sea, stony crags juxtaposed with fertile valleys, natural springs and streams - these are just some of the characteristics of the Naxos landscape which is noted for its tremendous variety. As you approach the harbour you will be greeted by the imposing ‘Portara’, which was the entrance to Apollo's temple, right there at the harbor’s mouth! Excellent food and clean sandy beaches are the characteristics of the island, which is a true paradise for yachts, since there are numerous secluded bays which can only be reached by sea.
DAY 5: AMORGOS
Amorgos is a mountainous island believed to have been in antiquity the summer resort of King Minos of Crete, as well as having hosted the film “The Big Blue”, by Luc Besson. Among the various sights you may be interested in visiting are the beautiful monastery of Panagia Hozoviotissa, teetering on a vertical rock, 300 m above the sea, the wonderful Cycladic architecture of the houses, the castle and the Gabras Tower in Hora, the capital of the island, and the remains of the ancient town of Minoa in Katapola, where you will be treated to spectacular views.
DAY 6: IOS
Ios is a tiny island and one of the most picturesque that you will experience during your yacht charter in the Cyclades with craggy coasts and cliffs, beautiful shores of white sand beaches and traditional Aegean architecture. Stroll around the narrow streets of the town, admiring the numerous churches and the gorgeous views.
DAY 7-8: SANTORINI
Spend the last days of your Cyclades yacht charter in Santorini, the Queen of the Cyclades whose wild beauty and impressive caldera was born from a tremendous volcanic eruption during the second millennium BC. The volcano lies in the center of the island's bay and is now surrounded by water. Fira, the main town, with a combination of white washed houses, red-black cliffs and winding streets is one of the most spectacular and breathtaking corners of the world. Visit the archaeological site of "Akrotiri" or visit the town of Oia at the very western tip, which is known for a more discreet charm and spectacular sunsets.
