Day 1: Tortola – Peter Island
Arrive in the British Virgin Islands through Tortola, and embark in time for a late lunch. In the afternoon, you can then hop over to a delightful anchorage on the south coast of Peter Island in time for sundowners and canapés!
Day 2: Peter Island – Norman Island
If you feel like a morning hike before the sun gets too high a lovely walk is possible on Peter Island. With vistas out across your cruising ground for the next week it’s a great chance to familiarize oneself with the area. On a good day St Croix can be seen to the SSW. Back aboard for a swim and a spot of lunch, you then head out into the Drake Passage for an early afternoon sail before dropping anchor in ‘The Bight’ on Norman Island. An option here is to go for a snorkel on the ‘Indians’ before sundown.
Day 3: Virgin Gorda
After breakfast it’s time for an upwind sail to the fabulous baths of Virgin Gorda where you will find excellent beaches and snorkeling. This natural formation of colossal boulder formed pools, caves and shimmering grottos framed by a palm shaded crescent beach, is a perfect spot for exploration. A short sail later, enjoy lunch at Savannah Bay while secured tightly inside a reef and view in awe the incredible pristine and isolated beach; a favourite place for Captain Marcel and crew.
Day 4: Anegada
After breakfast it’s anchors away with Anegada, the Drowned Island, your destination. There’s plenty to do here with great snorkeling at Loblolly Bay on hand.
Day 5: Guana Island
Morning cruise to Guana Island, which is a nature resort on a completely private island. The entire Guana Island is a wildlife sanctuary with some of the riches collections of plant and animal species in the Caribbean. Snorkel off Monkey Point and swim amongst the tarpon, sea turtles and numerous reef fish. Now, relax and enjoy an exceptional gastronomic luncheon onboard by Chef Francois, while the gentle Caribbean breeze and spectacular palm fringed sands of White Bay give a special ambiance to your dining experience.
Day 6: Jost van Dyke
A lovely sail takes you down for lunch at an anchorage called Sandy Cay, with Jost Van Dyke your afternoon’s destination. The stereotypical laid back Caribbean island, Jost van Dyke can get a little more popular than others with yachtsmen, but nevertheless is well-worth a visit for its exceptional sandy beaches and seafood feasts.
Day 7: Cane Garden Bay
After a morning of water sports and snorkelling, head for Cane Garden Bay on Tortola, and remain there for the final night anchorage.
Day 8: Last day
Disembark in Road Town to catch your connecting flight home.
